Twilight at Dusk

From 8 days in Nepal series, this was on day 2 of the jungle trek on a lost path and trying to find our camp site :) to settle for the night. This beautiful twilight caught my attention. We had machang built by farmers from which they scare away the Rinos and other wild animals which sometimes wander into their fields. At this point of the evening we were so tired I thought of calling it a day and resting at the machang which would have been more interesting. We had to walk for another 2 hours to find the place to rest for the night. By the time we reached there I caught up with fever and other 3 tired as hell. It was quite an adventure. Thanks to our guides Aakash and Ram the silent one...
This is one of the place you should visit if you are in Nepal...

Chitwan National Park

Just a little bit background on Chitwan, known for Chitwan National Park earlier known as Royal Chitwan National Park is the oldest national park in Nepal. Established in 1973, it was granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984.The park is located at subtropical inner Terai lowlands of South-Central Nepal in Chitwan district, 200km away from capital Kathmandu.
I have visited this place twice so far and once you are there you can feel the freshness in air and enjoy the nature. As the park itself is in remote part and very less flow of vehicle going towards the park it is advised to reach the nearest bus stop referred as Sauraha before 5PM. You will find all the other information about the park in wikipedia :)

About the place you will find a lot of species of plants animals and birds in this region.

I have one recommendation regarding where to stay once you are there as I stayed at the same resort and really enjoyed the stay there. Chitwan Forest Resort is located near the park which is manages by Deepak and Adrian. You can email them about any information there or call them as well. In case if you are plaining to go there I would recommend to call them in advance so they can arrange pickup to reach the park. Email:- bhattraideepak@yahoo.com or adrian-spyr@hotmail.com. Phone numbers would be 00977-56-580052 or call Deepak on +977-9845044150 or Adrian on +977-9845089399. They can also arrange all kinds activity with in the park including jungle walk, trekking, elephant ride and so on.

Here are is a video as quick tour of the park and the resort.

Here are the photos for you all.

8 Days in Nepal

Hi if any one is there, this is from my recent trip to Nepal. I am from Nepal "now u know" so you must be wondering why I have mentioned "8 days in Nepal" as I am always there. Well this time I spent 8 day to capture few places in Nepal which show what Nepal is all about and why it is referred as Switzerland for this part of Asia(In early internet age one person my brother was chatting with said he thought Nepal is just mountains and people living in cave and was amazed to know we have internet as well:). Well I have not been able to visit all the placed there however I tried my best to be at the places I can. I was able to got the Himalayas almost"Ian I will make it next time", to one to the wild life sanctuary "Chitwan", City of temples also capital of Nepal " Kathmandu" and not to forget birth place of lord BUDDHA "Lumbini" (I live there). Most of the time I spent in Chitwan however all of this places are breathtaking even for me. I was able to be at places at most unusual times where I was totally captivated. I am not a man of many words when it comes to writing " Or typing in this case" all I can say is you have to be there to understand what I am saying. There is one person I know will agree with me on this one as he was with me and he had opportunity to see the Himalayas for the first time with is eyes(not in images or TV) and I know he was completely lost and that made me think........ I am sure U will get an answer to what I was thinking from the person who helped me with this trip to come true. This thread is to my friend Shriraj. Enjoy the images "I enjoyed every moment taking them". ( please ignore the water mark as I saw many people copying images I could not help it, if you want I can help you to get there).

This is not all, I am not even started this is just Pokhara, tribute to my friend. You will be seeing more may be in few minutes.
